Anita Joy Martin is an accomplished Singer/Songwriter, Pianist, and Producer, and Online Vocal Coach, specializing in Contemporary Music. With a diverse background that spans Pop, Rock, Country, Jazz, and Musical Theatre, Anita’s training blends both classical and contemporary techniques, making her an adaptable artist and educator.

Anita’s musical journey began early at the Music Arts Institute in Independence, Missouri, where she first developed her musical foundation in vocal performance. During this time, she also won Grand Prize in the Reflections Songwriting Competition for her original song entitled "A Dream of Tomorrow’ -  an early milestone that deepened her passion for songwriting.

In High School, Anita was selected for the Missouri All-State Choir for two consecutive years and was a member of the Kansas City Youth Symphony Chorus under the direction of Professor Simon Carrington of The King’s Singers. She also performed the lead female roles in Guys & Dolls and The Music Man, showcasing her versatility both as a singer and performer.

Anita studied voice at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta, and pursued Music Production and Sound Engineering at The Academy of Production and Recording Arts in Calgary, Alberta. After completing her training, Anita opened a full-service online music studio providing vocal training, recording sessions, and music production for over 15 years.

Anita’s music has been featured on a variety of platforms, including International Television, FM radio, and Independent Film. Her original song "Snow Rushes By" was featured on Canada's CTV Morning Show - Christmas Edition. As a session musician, Anita’s vocal and piano skills were featured in the song "Yankee Doodle Dandy" for the short film entitled Inside Job, which was showcased at the Cannes International Film Festival. Her music is also currently being played on KSFI 100.3 FM in Salt Lake City, adding to her growing presence in the music world.

Her latest pop single, "Live in Love", is available on all major streaming platforms including Apple Music, Spotify, and Amazon Music. Her upcoming debut album, "Phases of Love", features eight original songs showcasing her full range of abilities as both a singer and songwriter, and is scheduled for release next spring.
